Tullett Prebon Agrees to Buy Icap's Hybrid Voice Broking, Information Business

According to a Reuters report, the deal is worth $1.68 billion.

Tullett Prebon has agreed to buy Icap's voice broking business.

On Friday, both firms released statements indicating they were discussing a possible deal. 

According to a Reuters report, the deal is worth $1.68 billion. The combined company will generate revenue of more than $2.3 billion, according to a statement by Tullet Prebon, making it the biggest firm in the voice broking business. The generated adjusted underlying operating profit is approximately $353 million of the enlarged Tullett Prebon, with a headcount of roughly 5,500.
