Credit Benchmark Names Smith CEO
The former Thomson Financial EMEA CEO takes over from Elly Hardwick, who has left the vendor.
Smith was previously CEO of securities lending data provider Data Explorers─set up by Credit Benchmark co-founder Mark Faulkner─which Markit acquired in 2012, and spent six and a half years as chief executive of EMEA and Asia at Thomson Financial, prior to which he was CEO of business-to-business publisher eCountries and spent five years as CEO of Financial Times Electronic Publishing.
