Officials say the new hires will bring a wealth of experience to Vela's sales, marketing and account management functions.
In London, Vela has hired Rupesh Patel as sales director, responsible for the vendor's low-latency data and feed handler solutions and middleware, and its SuperFeed consolidated feed. He joins from S&P Global Market Intelligence, where he was business development director for Real-Time Solutions, including the vendor's QuantHouse low-latency feed and connectivity business. Prior to joining S&P in 2014, Patel held sales roles at Interactive Data, covering low-latency direct and consolidated feeds
