APFIC Keynote: HKEx Looks to Grow Data Offering in China
One of the initiatives is to offer its market data for free or at heavily discounted prices under the Shenzhen-Hong Kong Stock Connect program.

Outlining the initiative at this week's Asia-Pacific Financial Information Conference in Hong Kong, keynote speaker Romnesh Lamba, co-head of market development at HKEx, said "We have been spending a lot of time and effort to increase our market data in China, and some of the initiatives include [targeting] websites. We are offering market data for free or very cheap."
Part of the market data initiative for Southbound trading is to make free snapshots or last-traded prices for all securities
