Eagle Alpha Unveils Alternative Data ‘Directory,' Eyes Proprietary ‘Crawled' Data
Eagle Alpha aims to provide a marketplace of more than 1,000 alternative datasets within one year.
The vendor launched Data Directory in response to feedback from asset managers who wanted to know what alternative datasets exist, and whether Eagle Alpha has a direct commercial relationship with their suppliers, says Eagle Alpha chief executive Emmett Kilduff.
Data Directory currently comprises 180 datasets which are "hand-picked" by the vendor's data procurement team, and then split into categories such as satellite, consumer transaction or geo-location data. They are then further split up
