A First For LBS Capital: Managing A Mutual Fund With Neural Net Technology

LBS Capital Management Inc., a firm that's long relied on artificial intelligence (AI)-based money management systems, will take its first crack at managing a mutual fund with a decision-support system that uses neural network technology. LBS, which has $750 million in assets under management, is managing the fund on behalf of the Quantitative Group of Funds, a small Lincoln, Mass.-based mutual fund company with $700 million under management.
The arrangement is a significant one for both firms
