Pabuk Halts HKEx Trading

The warning was reduced to Level 3 at 9:40 p.m. local time, with winds slowing to 42 kilometers (26 miles) to 62 kilometers (38.5 miles) per hour and Tropical Storm Pabuk weakening into a tropical depression. Still, the Hong Kong Observatory warned local residents to stay away from coastal lines and to be aware of periodically high winds. Pabuk—which formed in the Pacific Ocean east of Taiwan on Aug. 6—is the seventh-named storm in this year's western Pacific cyclone season.
