UBS APPOINTS SANY AS NEW CTO

Swiss banking giant UBS has hired Peter Sany as its new CTO, according to recent press reports. He will be based in Zurich and assume the role on April 1, replacing Scott Abbey, who has been working as CTO for the past five years. Prior to joining UBS, Sany was group CIO of German telecommunications vendor Deutsche Telekom, where he served for three years. Before that, he spent close to seven years as CIO for pharmaceutical company Novartis.
