Telvent Buys DTN for Agri Data Drive

The deal will enable both vendors to broaden their product coverage and geographic reach. Just over 42 percent of DTN's revenues come from energy and environmental markets, where Telvent already has a strong presence, while DTN's coverage of agricultural markets-which account for 58 percent of its revenues-offers an entry into a new industry vertical for Telvent.

According to Telvent chairman and chief executive Manuel Sanchez, agricultural market data will complement Telvent's energy market
