Data Vendors Struggle in a Tough Year

A number of market data vendors reorganized in the face of the weak market, and at least one shut down. Others survived only by putting themselves up for sale.
HyperFeed began the year by winning Chicago-based Options Funding Group for its real-time North American options data, beating out SunGard’s Microhedge analytics application (IMD, Feb. 25). It later signed Sutton Trading Systems to use its international real-time data (April 8).
In addition, it released an upgrade to its Java Software
