L. Gordon Crovitz, previously managing director of Dow Jones Markets for the Asia Pacific region, has been named vice president, planning and development at Dow Jones, a new post. In his new role, Crovitz will work with Peter Kann, chairman and CEO, and Kenneth Burenga, president and COO, and other executives to identify new business strategies and opportunities for Dow Jones as a whole, and for major business units.

Crovitz was appointed to run Asia Pacific for Dow Jones Markets about a year
