In the last few weeks, consultants to the Wall Street banks covered by the Global Research Analyst Settlement have begun to reveal their choices (see page 1). Some are surprising, others less so.
For instance, it makes sense that BNY Jaywalk has won four of the 10 banks so far. It has been a long-time distributor—and proponent—of independent research, since well before the whole analyst/research conflict blew up. It also has the advantage of offering a range of providers on one platform.
