Push Metamorphoses Into Spiritsoft Hires New CEO From Iona

LONDON--Push Technologies has changed its name to Spiritsoft, reflecting its Spirit-branded, fully Java-based product suite, and it has hired Kevin Gibbs away from Iona Technologies as its new chief executive officer.

Spiritsoft has also launched a new messaging technology called Spiritbroker that allows data and Internet pages to be processed and translated into the Wireless Markup Language (WML) for use in wireless application protocol (WAP) devices.
