Persistence Software Focuses on Bottlenecks

NEW YORK—Two financial services firms are beta-testing a new version of a data-services application from Persistence Software to help manage data latency in distributed computing environments, officials say.
Persistence’s Data Services software suite covers three severe bottlenecks that firms encounter when rolling out distributed computing projects: database scalability, data-query latency and network latency. The bottlenecks become acute for compute-intensive operations such as grid-computing
