ABN Sells Datastation To Tibco In Soft Dollar Deal

AMSTERDAM--Having done the initial development, ABN Amro has sold its proprietary front-end data display application, called Datastation, to Tibco.

Tibco will get Datastation in a soft dollar deal, says Rob Bestevaar, senior vice president at ABN. ABN didn't feel that it should have to develop and manage new releases of the product, considering that it was based on Tibco's technology, Bestevaar says.
