Buford Smith has recently been appointed president and CEO of Ideaglobal.com, a provider of research and analysis for financial markets, replacing (but still reporting to) Shandi Modi. Modi will remain chairman of the board to oversee its strategic direction, as well as manage the company's research division and its advisory board.
Smith previously worked at the New Media Group of Playboy Enterprises,where he worked on developing customized financial and investment information for Playboy.com.
