THOMSON NAMES SHAFFER, ROWLANDS TO TOP SLOTS
Thomson has replaced Patrick Tierney, CEO and president of Thomson Financial, with David Shaffer as CEO and Sharon Rowlands as president, it announced last week. Shaffer was head of Thomson Learning and Rowlands retains her COOpost.
Tierney’s departure is effective at the end of this year.
Tierney says he made the decision to leave a short time ago. "The strategy is in place--there’s an extremely strong team in place and the new products are coming
