PaineWebber Inc. has begun evaluating Stratus Computer Inc.'s Radio, a scalable and fault-tolerant -- and pricey -- hardware platform which can run either Microsoft Corp.'s Windows' NT or Novell Inc.'s Unixware flavor of Unix.
