Bankers Trust Signs with Knight-Ridder, Plans to Reduce Use of Telerate Data

Bankers Trust Co. has inked its first-ever global pact with Knight-Ridder Financial, making the vendor its second-line data supplier behind Reuters. As a result of the deal, Telerate's presence on Bankers' desktops worldwide is likely to drop dramatically over the next few years.
In Asia Pacific, sources say Bankers managers in each of its four main dealing sites are still examining ways to exploit the terms of the agreement--which make it "very attractive" financially for Bankers to use Knight
