S&P Index Enterprise Fee Timing Irks Users

S&P Indices, the indexes arm of The McGraw-Hill Companies, introduced an enterprise pricing option for its index products at the start of July, which has left market data user groups unhappy with the fee changes and that the vendor did not give end-user firms sufficient time to prepare for the change.

On June 1, S&P notified vendors who redistribute its index data that from July 1, they can offer S&P index values to clients at a flat monthly rate based on the total number of users/devices with
