Leipzig, Germany-based European Energy Exchange (EEX) has announced its energy commodities-based products are now tradable on Trading Technologies' Eurex gateway and X-Trader order entry platform, offering EEX's customers advanced order execution and increased distribution.

The EEX gateways will also be hosted by TTNet, Trading Technologies' managed hosting solution, and regionally co-located with Eurex's exchange matching engine in Frankfurt to provide speed advantages for pricing and orders.

"TT and EEX customers now have easy access via the X-trader platform and TTNET hosting service to the most liquid power contract in Europe as well as EEX's contracts for natural gas, emission and coal," says Steffen Köhler, chief market officer at EEX.
