Nasdaq OMX has extended the free trial period for its QView Latency Optics tool -- which leverages Corvil technology to provide clients with transparency into their order flow latency -- through April, though the free trial was scheduled to end on March 31.

New features include the ability to download packet capture files to compare their order behavior to their latency on Nasdaq, while the exchange also plans to add historical data and trending, order-level latency, and latency for other protocols, including the FIX Protocol and the RASHport order routing protocol used by Nasdaq's PHLX market.

The regular price of Latency Optics will be $2,900 per member per month, in addition to the $600 fee per subscriber firm for QView.
