Barchart captures the data from EDI each day via FTP download, then makes it available via APIs─of which Barchart provides more than two dozen, covering price data, fundamental data, ratings and estimates. Then, Barchart can set up and permission users with access to a dataset via OnDemand within a matter of minutes, only leaving clients to write an interface between their applications and Barchart's API.
