In Feb. last year, the US self-regulatory organizations (SROs), including nine exchange operators and regulator FINRA, published a request-for-proposal to solicit proposals from parties interested in building and operating the CAT, as mandated by the SEC's Rule 61.
The RFP process aimed to identify a single provider to run a repository of data collected from exchanges, along with tools for participants to submit data and for regulators to access and query the data, replacing existing systems
