Gordon Russell Joins Torstone Technology
Appointment is part of company's continued expansion in Asia
Torstone Technology, a provider of post-trade securities and derivatives processing, has announced plans to expand further in Asia in the coming months with the appointment of Gordon Russell as its new head of sales and business development for the region, and the launch of a standalone reporting module in Japan.
Russell is based in Singapore.
The news follows previous hires in Hong Kong and Singapore announced in December, driven by the ever-evolving regulatory and compliance obligations faced by the firm's clients.
Russell joins Torstone Technology with more than 20 years' experience in financial services technology, most recently as global head of risk at Broadridge. Prior to that, he held a number of senior roles across Asia at SunGard and Reuters.
The new Japan reporting module will be made available through Torstone Technology's flagship post-trade securities and derivatives processing system, Inferno. The module will provide full operational support to investment banks trading a wide range of asset classes, including fixed income, equities and derivatives, who must comply with various reporting requirements mandated by the Bank of Japan, the Japan Financial Services Agency, the Tokyo Stock Exchange and the Japan Securities Dealers Association.
