SGX Readies Research Deals to Support New Indexes
The Singapore Exchange is to partner with several research providers as it looks to expand its index services and raise its profile as a custom index calculation engine.
The content provided by these as-yet unnamed research providers will underpin the exchange's indexes with proprietary research data that will broaden the indexes' appeal to investors across the region, whereas SGX's internal research and design team does not have the resources to meet the research needs of all types of institutional investors, says Simon Karaban, head of index business at SGX.
