Tanner was previously global head of business development and sales at Morningstar, a position he held for three years before his role change this month.
Prior to Morningstar, Tanner served as chief executive of Wall Street On Demand, a provider of wealth management data services and hosted data modules for institutional, media and online brokerage portals, for 19 years before it was acquired by Markit in 2010.
