Thomson Reuters, CME Integrate IM Networks
The integrated instant messaging platforms will support collaboration between 300,000 users, officials say.
When the integration is completed late in the third quarter of this year, a total of 300,000 users will be able to communicate across the platforms.
Thomson Reuters and CME officials say they experienced a surge of new IM account registrations in the last month, which coincides with the announcement from Yahoo that it plans to discontinue support for legacy versions of its IM service in August, as well as the API used to connect its instant messaging service with other networks.
Officials add
