AllianceBernstein Preps Symphony Rollout
The firm will use Symphony's platform to replace existing instant messaging platforms for internal communications, and ultimately external communications with clients.
Speaking at Symphony’s Innovate showcase event in New York on Oct. 6, AllianceBernstein chief technology officer Karl Sprules told attendees how his firm rolled out the platform to “a couple of hundred” staff during a beta test period over the summer, and plans to go fully live by year-end.
Sprules says the firm’s initial target for displacement would be other messaging platforms. For example, Microsoft Lync and Communicator are “very well embedded” as collaboration platforms within the firm
