EDM from S&P Global Market Intelligence pulls data from multiple source into a central hub, creating a consistent version of the truth in an audited environment. Firms can keep their data decentralized and use data lineage to track the source etc. EDM is complemented by EDM Warehouse for warehousing and reporting.

THE SOLUTION

New product releases and client go-lives have continued throughout the Covid-19 pandemic. In July 2021, a new standalone module, the Data Dictionary, became the first release delivered on a new SaaS framework. Other significant developments include diversification to support private markets use cases.

WHAT’S TO COME

The focus is on the build-out of the next phases of the SaaS platform. More applications will be released on the SaaS platform to empower users to do more on their own. To make this possible, the user experience function is being expanded, alongside the product, development and client communications teams.

EDM visualization enhancements: New functional and performance-related enhancements mean the platform meets Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 definitions, making web content more accessible to people with disabilities.

Early adopter program: Clients are given an opportunity to preview and provide feedback on new releases.

SFDR regulation: EDM now supports the Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR), which has introduced new ESG transparency and disclosure requirements.
