Asia Awards 2022: Best front-office platform—Charles River Development, a State Street company

Charles River Development, a State Street company, won the award for the best front-office platform in this year’s WatersTechnology Asia Awards thanks to its Charles River Investment Management Solution (Charles River IMS) platform. Underpinned by integrated compliance and managed data, it is designed to automate and simplify the institutional investment process across public and private asset classes, from portfolio management and risk analytics through trading and post-trade settlement. In addition, Charles River IMS supports a range of financial products, from basic asset class-specific to solution-oriented and complex multi-asset products.

Charles River has built out its microservices for risk analytics and corporate actions processing, enabling clients to access updated version-agnostic functionality. It has adopted Kubernetes to automate deployment, scaling and more efficient management of the containerized applications within the Charles River IMS platform. With the acquisition and integration of Mercatus, Charles River clients can now support their private equity and credit, real estate and infrastructure investments alongside publicly traded assets on a single platform.

Looking ahead, Charles River is adding front-office support for cryptocurrencies and digital assets across their investment life cycle and completing the integration of FXConnect and GlobalLink FX to support native FX trading and hedging workflows.
