Citadel Securities, BlackRock, Nasdaq mull tokenized equities’ impact on regulations

The US Securities and Exchange Commission’s (SEC’s) Investor Advisory Committee, featuring representatives from BlackRock, Coinbase, Nasdaq, Robinhood, Citadel Securities, and Galaxy Digital Holdings, met last week to discuss how the tokenization of equities can work within existing regulations.

The crypto-native firms—Coinbase, Robinhood and Galaxy Digital Holdings—advocated for the wider use of blockchain technology by the market and voiced concerns that the US would be left behind by the rest
