Results of a recent survey by Broadgate Consultants of US fund managers indicate concerns with a number of issues when considering investing in European companies. Respondents believed that European companies provided materially less information than US companies in their financial press releases. The US investors showed interest in and support for a pan-European securities regulator similar to the SEC in the US. Such an authority would answer such concerns as conflict of interest questions
