Beta Users Switch To ILX Systems' Quote Service

VENDOR STRATEGIES

First Albany, Robert Baird & Co. and Everen Capital, all firms that currently make use of Thomson Financial Services' quote vendor Beta Systems, are in the process of switching to ILX Systems, TFS' other quote vendor. While ILX is not making the move mandatory, the vendor is no longer marketing the Betaquotes quote engine. TFS bought Beta one year ago (IMD, April 8, 1996) and made it a subsidiary of ILX.
