HKEx Details Datacenter Plans

Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing has set out plans for its next-generation datacenter that will house its exchange matching and data distribution technologies, and support client co-location hosting facilities. The datacenter will cost around HK$1 billion to build-including the land purchase, construction and technology relocation and upgrade costs-and is scheduled to be operational in mid-2012, offering 31,400 square meters of floor space, almost three times larger than originally planned.
