Hemsley to Lead Merged BATS-Chi-X
BATS Global Markets has confirmed that Mark Hemsley, currently chief executive of its European multilateral trading facility BATS Europe, will become CEO of BATS Chi-X Europe once it completes its purchase of rival MTF Chi-X Europe (IMD, Feb. 18), replacing current Chi-X Europe CEO Alasdair Haynes, who will leave the organization after a transition period.
Hemsley joined BATS in 2008, having previously served as chief information officer at Euronext-Liffe prior to its merger with NYSE.
