Mercer Goes Live with VRS

London and New York-based Vermilion developed the solution to work with Mercer's proprietary technology.

Mercer UK's investment consulting business has implemented the Vermilion Reporting Suite (VRS) for its performance-monitoring requirements.

VRS produces reports for performance analysis, asset allocation and risk characteristics for Mercer's fund list. The software has been designed to operate alongside proprietary technology already in use at the firm, such as qualitative analysis from Mercer's research arms. Vermilion also designed the data warehouse and calculations system used in this new comingled technology base, while VRS is used for reporting and workflow.

"This was always going to be a challenging project to implement, and this is why we selected Vermilion," says Fiona Dunsire, senior partner at Mercer. "The whole project team was very diligent and supportive throughout the implementation process and we are extremely pleased with the outcome. Our new solution will ensure we continue to deliver high-quality reporting to our clients and efficiencies throughout Mercer."

VRS was recently selected by Aviva Investors for its full reporting suite, and also launched an offshoot of the software that specialises in producing Key Investor Information Documents.
