Both Jefferies and EuroCCP are regulated by the Financial Services Authority in London.

The pan-European clearing house EuroCCP has announced that Jefferies International Limited has become an individual clearing participant (ICP).

Jefferies will now be the 27th ICP on EuroCCP. The company is the UK subsidiary of investment and asset management firm Jefferies & Company. With the new status, it will be permitted to clear its own trades and those of its clients which are not EuroCCP participants. EuroCCP itself is the European subsidiary of the Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation (DTCC).

"We are proud that Jefferies has opted to become a clearing participant of EuroCCP," says Diana Chan, CEO at EuroCCP. "We believe it is testament to our proven pan-European capabilities and user-governed status."
