Could 2015 be the year the Legal Entity Identifier (LEI)-the unique code that identifies parties to a financial transaction-really penetrates the market?

Uptake of the code is historically regulation-driven, and with this year and next bringing recommendations and regulations across jurisdictions and asset classes, it could be poised to be taken up in spheres where it is still an unfamiliar concept.
