Neon's Vie Acquisition Spurs Speculation That Copernicus Could Be Key To NTS

DENVER--The acquisition of Vie Systems by New Era of Networks (Neon) has spurred speculation that the Copernicus real-time, publish/subscribe middleware from Vie, which rivals The Information Bus (TIB) technology from Tibco, could serve as a key component of the Neon Trading System (NTS) suite of straight through processing (STP) modules.
"It's too early to comment on the NTS-Copernicus tie-in," says a spokesman from Neon. Neon purchased Vie last week for an undisclosed amount.
