Reuters’ ‘Outright Revenue’ Drops More Than 40% Despite Overall Turnaround

LONDON--While the Reuters Group financials overall for the six months of 2003 showed signs of a turnaround, the "outright" revenue, which includes market data distribution platforms, had a drop of more than 40 percent compared to last year, officials say.
"Outright revenue, which represents 3 percent of Reuters core revenue, was £43 million ($71 million), down 43 percent in underlying terms," according to Reuters’ results release.
