Citadel Data Chief Departs After Just Three Months

Laszlo Korsos, who left Uber to join Citadel in July, has reportedly left his position as chief data officer at the investment firm.

A source close to Citadel confirms Laszlo’s departure.  

Korsos founded Uber’s optimization and economics quant team, working on pricing algorithms, and was with the ride-sharing company for three years. Previous to that role, he worked with Goldman Sachs and Nuveen Investments. Laszlo served in the US Navy and has a PhD in economics and statistics from the University of Chicago.
