Credit Benchmark’s Smith Taps Former Thomson Colleague Haney to Replace Him as CEO
Haney previously worked alongside Credit Benchmark co-founder Donal Smith at Thomson Financial.

Haney takes over the role from co-founder and executive chairman Donal Smith, who has held the position since the departure of Elly Hardwick early last year. Haney was most recently CEO of performance and attribution software vendor BISAM, which FactSet Research Systems acquired earlier this year for $250 million, and which he joined in 2013 as COO.
He previously spent a dozen years at Thomson Reuters and Thomson Financial—where he also worked alongside Smith, who served as CEO of EMEA and Asia
