Kx Gives kdb+ a Boost

Database technology vendor Kx Systems has released Version 2.7 of its kdb+ database technology, which boosts the speed at which the software operates by up to 20 percent relative to previous releases by using intelligent file compression, improved memory management techniques and taking advantage of advances in multi-core processor technologies. The latest release also includes a new data structure verification engine that allows users to flag any incoming data that arrives in an invalid
