Vontobel Selects Clearstream for Funds Processing

Swiss asset manager to use CSD's Vestima platform amid wider technology drive

Vontobel has signed with Clearstream, weeks after acting as a pilot client for SIX Securities Services' Advanced Settlement platform.

Vontobel, which holds around SFr195 billion ($200 billion) in client assets, will use Clearstream’s Vestima platform to handle its third-party hedge fund processing activities.

The platform, operated by international central securities depository (CSD) Clearstream, complies with European rules including the Alternative Investment Fund Manager Directive (Aifmd) and the fifth Ucits directive.
