At the Comdex show in Las Vegas this week, Microsoft will be unveiling SQL Server, version 7.0. The much-awaited SQL Server 7 offers support for OLAP Services, data transformation services, meta data repository, enterprise management tools, replication services and a desktop database, eliminating the need for add-on products or additional charges. In describing SQL Server 7 as scalable, Microsoft officials say the various iterations of the database server are designed to run under Windows 95
