Garban-Icap Restructures, Breaks Out Electronic Broking

EARNINGS REPORT

LONDON--Garban-Intercapital, the world’s largest interdealer broker, plans to restructure the company around three core areas, breaking it into voice broking, electronic broking and market information, according to its first quarter results report.

The IDB considers electronic broking key to its future in the highly liquid OTC derivatives markets, combined with a hybrid electronic/voice solution for less liquid markets.
