Reuters Reorganizes And Positions For Instinet Spin-off

NEW YORK--Reuters Trading Systems morphed into Reuters Trading Solutions during the week of February 7, yet it remains the weakest performer in the Reuters firmament, reporting a drop in revenues of about six percent in 1999 over 1998. Y2K code freezes were blamed for £780 million drop in RTS revenues, from £827 the previous year. RTS will be composed of three units: 1) Trans actions, the combination of Money/FX and Securities Transaction; 2) Applications and Enterprise Solutions; and 3) Retail
