Citi to Automate QIB Checking

NEW YORK--Citigroup is in the middle of an integration project to provide a real-time data exchange to its front-office trade capture application that will automate the process of verifying the Qualified Institutional Buyer (QIB) status of the firm’s buy-side counterparties.

The new capability will make life a little easier for the approximately 175 fixed-income salespeople and their assistants that support the front-line traders, says Scott Richter, managing director of Global Fixed Income Sales
