StreamBase Debuts Optimizer

LEXINGTON, Mass.—StreamBase, a Lexington, Mass.-based provider of real-time data processing software, is slated to release an upgrade of its streaming data management engine that features an optimizer for applications.
The StreamOptimizer of the Stream Base engine, version 3.0, is designed to increase throughput and eliminate latency for applications that use the data engine, says Bill Hobbib, vice president of marketing for the vendor. The optimizing capabilities have been written in Java and C
